8月22日(金)イベント告知 ～補足～ ― 2014/08/21 01:07

昨日、「今日ならうちのワンボックスが出せるよ」と鈴木代表に誘っていただいたものですから、22日(金)のイベントで鳴らすスピーカーを九段アコースティック・デザインシステムのショールームへ搬入してきました。スピーカーはレンタカーを借りて運ぶつもりだったので大いに助かった次第です。鈴木代表のお気遣いに感謝。

搬入したら鳴らしてみたくなるのが人情というもので、早速同ショールーム常備のシステムを接続して鳴らしてみたんですが、しばらく倉庫でアクビをしていたスピーカーばかりなもので、まぁ何とも寝ぼけてガサついた不快な音です。こりゃいけないとたまたま鞄に入っていた試聴用CDケースからどんどん盤を引っ張り出してかけ続けたら、さすが一度は鳴らし込んだ個体だけにそれほど時間をかけることなく目が覚めてくれるようです。

「それじゃ当日まで適当にいろいろ鳴らしておくよ」と鈴木代表。お世話になります。これで当日にはそこそこ以上のコンディションで皆様のお耳にかかれるかと思います。

で、当日なんですが、「どうせならついでに聴けない？」という鈴木代表のリクエストで、私の作例「カモハクチョウ」も持ってきてしまいました。当然のことながら主役は長岡先生の3モデルですから、ほんのちょっとしたお披露目ということになると思いますが、個人的にも近年稀な大成功作だと思っているので、皆様にもちょっとだけお聴きいただけると光栄です。

カモハクチョウ
月刊ステレオ2014年8月号に掲載されたわが作例「シギダチョウ」。私が取材日を間違えるという大失態を犯したせいで試聴会の間に合わず、おかげでコイズミ無線などの鳴き合わせの会にも連れて行ってもらえなかったものだから、まだほとんど誰にも聴いてもらっておらず、今回が初お目見えとなる。どうかお手柔らかにお願いできると幸いである。

ところで、アコースティック社ショールームとわが家における「カモハクチョウ」の鳴り方の違いには唖然とせざるを得ませんでした。わが家では「できるだけ音楽の勢いを殺さないように」と、デッドスペースへ入れる砂袋を最小限にしていたのですが、同社ショールームではとてもそれくらいのデッドニングでは収まらず、かなり強めのボンつきが聴こえてきます。

スピーカーというのは多かれ少なかれこういう要素を持っているものではありますが、自作スピーカー、なかんずくフルレンジでBHでというと、この要素が大いに強まってしまうものでもあるなぁ、というのが正直なところです。わがリスニングルームはごく普通の木造洋間ですから低音が抜けやすく、それでやや過剰気味にBHを躾けてしまったところ、アコースティック社の高度な防音室は低域が全く洩れず、しかもわが家と違って適度な響きもついているものですから、意図的に残した最後の僅かなボン付きが何倍にも大きく耳へ届いてしまった、ということなんでしょうね。

というわけで、当日は砂袋をいくつも持ち込み、早めに会場入りして再チューニングにかかる予定です。皆さんがお見え下さる頃にはあの部屋にふさわしいチューニングに仕上げられていたらいいんですが。
